As Empower Me’s Program Manager, Kylie assists with the day-to-day operation of the program, nurturing new and old relationships with collaborative partners, as well as creating and maintaining a list of community partners and local organizations. She also maintains regular outreach activities including community events, workshops, presentations and other community opportunities. Kylie is passionate about helping others and she wants to inspire them to work together towards a greener future.
Kylie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Chinese language and literature, from Tamkang University in Taiwan. She has been an active volunteer in multiple community organization since moving to Canada from Taiwan, including ISS of BC, Family Services of Greater Vancouver, and Burnaby Family Life. Currently she is a member of the New Westminster Literacy Committee, and also acts as a Moderator for a private group dedicated to assisting Taiwanese mothers in Vancouver.
Before joining Empower Me full-time, Kylie was an Energy Mentor where she was responsible for promoting and implementing the Empower Me Program to multilingual and multicultural communities across BC’s Lower Mainland. She also worked as the Service Technician at Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan where she was responsible for collaborating and communicating between end users and IT service providers.
