Karim is a life-long entrepreneur and believes that business is a tool to accomplish good deeds. Today he is the CEO and co-founder of Kambo Energy Group, a social enterprise with the mission of “Clean and Accessible Energy Choices for Everyone”. Karim has a broad and versatile skill set with over ten years of experience ranging from real estate development, real estate finance, corporate finance, marketing and communications, web design, software development, leadership, building science, business development, human resources, and many other multi- disciplinary areas.
Karim earned his Bachelor of Commerce in Urban Land Economics from the Sauder School of Business at UBC. Currently, he is a member of several professional affiliations including the Building Owners and Managers Association, BC Food Processors Association, Bullfrog Power, and Connecting Environmental Professionals Vancouver. He is also involved in the MacKay CEO Forum where he engages with other like-minded forward thinking and action-oriented peers to address issues and challenges and share best business practices and connections.
In 2011, he began his first tech company, Mydealbag Media, an automated affiliate and email marketing company that secured an equity investment from PlentyofFish and that facilitated over $3M in sales in its first three years. He co-founded Kambo Energy Group in 2014, which operates three distinct divisions that deliver energy efficiency services to commercial buildings, indigenous communities, and utilities and municipalities.
