At Empower Me we love a great advertising campaign that leaves you feeling good and sticks in your mind. Whether it’s a funny script, a clever idea, or a heartfelt message, some campaigns can change your perspective about the world around you
Below are six campaigns that we think have great messages about connecting with others and bringing individuals, families, and communities together.
Presidents Choice | #EatTogether
In 2017 Presidents Choice launched #EatTogether Day. Their hope was that every year on June 22nd friends, neighbours, and communities could gather at a table and simply connect by eating together. Because our world could always use a little more connection. At Empower Me we really focus on community connections, we love having the opportunity to work alongside different communities in Canada.
Tim Hortons | Coffee with Neighbours
This year Tim Hortons introduced us to Coffee with Neigbours. Apparently 50% of Canadians hardly know their neighbours, despite our friendly reputation! To help create new relationships and build connections, Tim Hortons is encouraging conversation over a shared love of coffee. During our community launch in Alberta, we brought teas from around the world to bring people together over a nice cup of tea.
LinkedIn | “In it Together”
With over 500 million members, LinkedIn wants you to know that you’re not alone. #InItTogether brings personal stories of professionals from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and passions. Every member has their own motivations and goals, but you have a community of people to help, support, inspire and push you. Each Energy Mentor at Empower Me has a diverse background and bring something unique which strengthens our team and the communities they work with.
Enough for All | Challenge Poverty YYC
Enough for All is Calgary’s community driven strategy to help fight poverty. This year Challenge Poverty YYC has Calgary influencers meeting people who have lived through the struggles of poverty. These influencers share their story to bring to light what poverty is like in Calgary. At Empower Me, our Home Upgrades Program helps Albertans struggling with their utility bills by offering energy saving home upgrades at no-cost. Heineken | #OpenYourWorld
Heineken has always stood for openness, believing that having a simple conversation over a beer helps bring people together. #OpenYourWorld brings people who are polar opposites together to find something in common. Even the most divided people can open up when they find common ground.
Airbnb | #WeAccept
The #weaccept campaign is believing in the simple idea that no matter who you are, where you’re from, who you love, or who you worship, you deserve to belong. Airbnb started providing housing for evacuees of disasters and has since provided housing during 54 global disasters. People who have been displaced are vulnerable to not being accepted and are in need of a place to belong. Empower Me helps those who are new to Canada to feel more comfortable in their new homes and teach to save save money and the environment.
